About us

Psychotherapy uses the power of human connection to transform hurt into healing, understanding, and empowerment. But the intentionally confidential and mysterious nature of the profession keeps millions of meaningful, transformative moments forever hidden, impacting only those present in the room. Moments of Meaning reveals the mystery as we look behind closed waiting room doors to share these powerful stories of change through the humanity of the therapist telling true stories of real clients. With these videos, we aim to create a movement of empowerment and healing though “real therapists, real change.”
Moments of Meaning is a for-purpose movement devoted to demystifying psychotherapy. We passionately believe in the power of psychotherapy to bring healing and growth to human lives, and by consequence, the world. We are real therapists telling real stories about what really happens in psychotherapy. We are building an archive of human transformation to encourage deeper engagement within relationships and life.

Psychotherapy has an image problem. Despite the fact that… numerous studies prove therapy’s effectiveness, it is more cost effective than many alternatives, it has no chemical side effects, it has a longer-lasting impact than medication, and mental health awareness is on the rise, … fewer people go to therapy. Why is this? Well, there are […]
